But is Pokemon Go safe? All the world’s a stage, and Pokemon Go proved just that. Rolled out in 2016, Niantic’s Pokemon Go was destined to be a game-changer right from the beginning, for it was the very first Android game that used augmented reality. The point is that, once in a while, the world, or some part of it at least, gets swept away by a hype and Pokemon Go makes no exception. After that, there were Tamagotchis, Gameboy consoles, boom boxes, Walkmans, and several other stuff I just can’t remember (ok, boomer?). (A portion of The Rivals was also digitally colored.) The actual episodes wouldn't follow suit for another 144 episodes, in Here's Lookin' at You, Elekid.First, there were slinkies. This was the first opening theme to fully feature digitally colored animation.So, it could be assumed that the song is merely saying to do an action as if it was a move. However, the song also mentions a move called むこうみず Mukōmizu which isn't a real move.
It is unknown whether this was a simple coincidence or not. This was introduced as an actual move in Generation III (translated as Facade). Although this song is for the first Johto/ Generation II anime season, the lyrics make a reference to a "prideful move" named からげんき Karagenki.The sentences before the chorus make reference to the Pokémon Gold and Silver games, although the word "gold" is rendered as "golden".The original opening animation is supplemented by clips from the Johto TV series. Ash, Brock, and Misty are seen at a picnic with their Pokémon. Bellossom are seen dancing, an Elekid swings by. Gary Oak appears with his Eevee on the screen.
