The version of Office that students can download from Office 365 is Office 2016 Pro Plus. Office 365 is the name for a suite of online collaboration services, and is not a new version of Office. Office 365 for students includes: five (5) free licenses to download and install Office, Office Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive. All these services are included in the current contract for no additional charge. Office 365 for Education is free for Students OSU is not paying Microsoft beyond our standard annual campus license agreement. Office Online provides the ability to create, edit and collaborate real-time on documents in native Office formats within a web browser, without having to convert the files.
